I day started with an official letter couriered to our front doorstep stating that Andrew's position at Infinet has been terminated. Coincidentally, the letter arrived just as his paternity leave ended. So, after having tried for a baby for seven years, we are rewarded with a pink slip. Of all the shitty things that can be done to an individual, this cheap act rises to the top. And with all our accumulated adoption expenses, and Christmas now looming, the timing couldn't be worse.
Leah and I left Andrew in peace, and visited our friends at Blast Radius. Leah had a great time showing of her squeaky shoes, and disturbing the entire office. The afternoon was less social, hanging out at home while trying to seek legal advice on Andrew's severance pay.
