I have been feeling very sentimental lately, sorting through the toys of my childhood. My favourite is the Noah's Ark, made out of cardboard and felt, containing each animal and it's mate. My mother carefully handcrafted these out of felt, yarn and wadding. Fortunately I treated my toys like gold, so they are in perfect condition. The Noah's ark will have it's place (out of Leah's reach), on her new armoire. For now she can have my pink Pooky bunny, my womble and a very sad looking doll, I named Gigi.
The photo pictured here, is not of one of my toys, but the original Little People farmyard animals that I borrowed from a friend, to photograph. As a toddler, I dreamt of owning the farm set, but alas, had to settle for playing with my best friend's collection of animals. I am still planning to create pixel characters based on the series of photos I shot.
