December 25, 2003 | Wrapping and spending the day with the one's you love

This year, my family made the following toasts:

To Leah, the newest member of the Garnett family. Having waited seven years for a baby, she is finally with us;

To my Dad, for surviving cancer this past year. There wa the recent fear that it had spread to his pelvic bone, but just before Christmas he received a clean bill of health;

To the new dad (long story) and to my mum for her never ending support;

To my sister and her family, for enduring six months of home renovations without breaking down;

To my other sister and her family in South Africa.
