I'm back into the groove, at last: cooking, blogging, and generally taking care of myself again. I'm hoping this is the trend from now on. Even my Lomo appears to be working.

Last night I cooked pasta from scratch, using a pasta machine that had been collecting dust. It was incredible. And the sauce was based on a Jamie Oliver staple, with the addition of porcini mushrooms and marscopini cheese. Just delicious. Mmmm.

Today I hired a babysitter for the afternoon, while I played around with Flash MX. It's been months since I touched it, but it started to fall into place again, and after my daughter went to bed, I spent another few hours experimenting with masking and text effects. It takes work to keep one's mind in shape when most of the day is spent nurturing a child (as enjoyable as it is).
