I have, and will never ride a rollercoaster ride or a ferris wheel. Why? Because when I was around the age of five or six, my parents would play squash at a company club. During this time, my sisters and I would watch the "club movie". One night, the featured movie was about a crazed individual who planted bombs on the tracks of rides, that were triggered by motion. I still vividly remember a scene in which a car is blown of the tracks, passengers and all. Surely this movie was not appropriate for kids. But then again, my parents took me to restricted movies at the drive-in and hid me under a blanket in the back seat. Altered States and the animated Lord of the Rings being the most memorable.
