November 3, 2005 | Tough girl | Pentax k1000 (28mm lens)

Last weekend I had a 28mm lens on loan which I took to the woods during our weekly Sat morning jaunt and tree hugging expedition. Something about this image really moved me. Not sure why. But it felt warm and comforting. I adore hands.

I'm posting earlier than usual today, but I have made a pact with myself to NOT turn the computer on this evening. I have been struggling with lower back pain, and want this afternoon's chiropractic appointment to have as long lasting an effect as possible. And I need sleep. I'm a night person, and rarely get to bed before 1am these days. The down side is having to wake up at 6:30 am every day. This weekend I plan to sleep in. I have a short trip planned, which I'm so looking forward to. - a change of scenery.

One really good thing: I won a gold at the Advertising and Design Club of Canada award show this evening. And two merit awards. Yay hooray.
