9:30 am Started making cupcakes for L's birthday
10:30 am Faced the grim reality that the cupcakes were a dismal failure
11:00 am Made more cupcakes, minus one of the eggs
11:30 am Faced the grim reality that the second batch of cupcakes were a dismal failure
11:32 am Had a nervous breakdown
11:34 am Phoned my mum in tears. She offered to make the cupcakes
11:45 am Gave the cupcakes a facelift
11:48 am Calmed down
12:00 am Balloons disappeared from the front porch
and on it went.
Generally I hold it together, but today was a bad day. I"m exhausted, sick with a cold, and feeling overwhelmed. The party went well and I relaxed five minuted into it. But now I want nothing more than a hug, a cup of tea and a good book. The hug can wait. I'm settling for the good book tonight.
