What's that expression? Two steps forward, one step back, or one step forward and two back. Either way, that's how I'm feeling today. We had a leak in the upstairs office last night, and only discovered it this morning. It was right above where I keep all my postcards, design books and photo magazines. We only discovered it this morning, when the leak had turned into a large puddle of water at the base of the bookshelf. I managed to salvage a good portion of what was in there, but oh, what way to start my morning.

On a good note, both sets of plans today were canceled, so I have a free day to myself. I'm planning on dusting off the sewing machine and getting down to business. I have a tote bag to finish up, and L's Halloween costume to start. The domestic goddess wanna-be in me just feels the urge to sew, and not buy it. It's a little early to start thinking about Oct 31st, but that's frightfully close to the due date and I don't want to disappoint L, by not planning ahead.

I need to take some photos badly.
