It's an overcast and wet day today - the perfect weather for lying in bed, beneath the covers and taking it easy. I have the luxury of doing that today ... with all three dogs beside me. I have too many other tasks beckoning me - blinds to sew for Leah's room, another batch of granola to bake, but I think I'll just read one more chapter of my book.
I cannot get enough of Operating Instructions right now. Every line feels so profound and touching. "One thing about Sam, one thing about having a baby, is that each step of the way you simply can't imagine loving him any more than you already do, because you are bursting with love, loving as much as you are humanly capable of - and then you do, you love him even more."
