Four years ago today, this beautiful child was handed to me in a crowded room, and I finally became a mum. Every year this is a very special day for me, but at the same time a very sad day. I cannot help but reflect on her biological parents who are out there, somewhere, who have no idea what a spirited little person she has grown into. She is the greatest gift I could have ever received. She made my life complete.
I love you L. More than I knew was possible.
