December 13, 2007 | Playing hookie | Canon XT

Yesterday I kept Leah out of school, and enjoyed a much needed mummy/daughter day - lunch, haircut and a seasonal hot chocolate at Starbucks. She was so thrilled to have my undivided attention all day ... something I haven't been able to offer since Mae was born. Luckily Mae slept through the entire outing in my baby carrier, so as not to rain on L's parade. I needed that time with her, as much as she needed it with me.
