Today I managed to entertain a sick child who I kept home from school, supervise the installation of a window in Mae's room, hold the baby for most of the day, wash a load of laundry, write my Christmas cards, tidy the kitchen and erect the Christmas tree. Now I need a nap ... or a cold alcoholic beverage.

All that is left to do is some last minute Christmas shopping, the traditional baking of the cookies and plug in the outdoor Christmas lights.

I'm finally getting the hang of parenting two girls and keeping my life in order.
